We are looking for a fulltime floating maintenance technician with experience in the residential apartment industry, commercial property maintenance (general), handyman industry and construction. This position is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for move in, as well as commercial building maintenance requests and requires a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

A company truck will be provided, with corporate approval, to qualified technicians on an as needed basis.
The maintenance technician will take direction from the Lancaster, OH corporate office. A company-paid cell phone is provided for work-hour maintenance and on-call emergency maintenance. On call is required on a staggered basis.
Maintenance Technician duties that you must be able to perform include the following, but are not limited to:
•painting, general plumbing, general electrical and carpentry
•responding to work order and service requests in a timely, efficient and courteous manner*(Troubleshooting the source of difficulty and taking appropriate action to repair and/or restore service while meeting community time and quality standards
•have excellent time management skills
•be flexible and organized
•be able to keep up with a fast-paced workload that involves occasional lifting over 50lbs, working on your feet, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, etc.
•responding to emergency calls during on-call periods as well as assisting other maintenance technicians at multiple locations (on a staggering basis)
•making vacant apartments ready for move in
•participating in on-going preventative maintenance and improvement
Maintenance Technician Qualifications should include:
•reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and a good driving record
•live within approximately 30 miles of the property for on-call rotation requirements
•own your own hand tools
•good communicating and troubleshooting skill
•general knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service
•previous maintenance experience is required, apartment maintenance experience preferred
•HVAC repair experience is preferred, but not required
•Paid Time Off – including vacation, sick days, floating holidays, and company-wide holidays
